hard sci-fi + speculative design roots:


> This system inherits from a succession of speculative IoT neurotech design prototypes based on a hard sci-fi scenario mapping out the potentials of “condensing” and streamlining process of visual perception from a dispersed sequence of alternating types of conscious, semi-conscious and unconscious modes across multiple agents, into a “transreality” mediated by a neuro-ocular interface which facilitates fluid “trespassing” across the gradient of realities from physical to synthetic.

features: the scenario also explored a possible future socio-psychological environment, suggesting the existence of multiple realities of varying “densities” and their citizens potentially unaware of one another due to diversity of currently subcultural granulation of glocal convictions clusters from cyborg to psychonauts, interactive neurocognitive dynamics of sensory processing and belief modulation → which lead to search for solutions for them to communicate for the long-term sustainability of the planet. at that point, the bet was made on the biology and nature of physical reality as a stance based on a personal prediction of further synthetic simulation aspirations sprouting from the growing cyborg community and requirement to balance scales of technological efforts towards “understudiness of biology” as well as a personal preference in the face of classical augmentation risks. the vision of surpassing cyborg augmentation through more elegant solutions of deeper exploration of biology was encouraged by a mathematical self-sustainability utopia of “juxtaposition vs addition” to a degree exemplified in “Mathematical Universe” by Max Tegmark. in this projection, the next frontier technology shifted to post-biotech, a realm achievable only by pushing the boundaries of biology and leveraging its understudied potential.
